StepStone Group provides liquidity solution to Gyrus Capital’s LPs in a multi-asset secondary transaction involving dss+ and Essential Pharma

GENEVA, Switzerland, December 12, 2024 – Gyrus Capital, a European investment firm dedicated to transformational investments in the healthcare and sustainability sectors, is pleased to announce the successful closing of a GP-led secondary transaction whereby StepStone Group (Nasdaq: STEP) has provided a liquidity solution to existing investors and strategic capital to support the future growth of two strong performing assets in the healthcare and business services sectors, initially acquired in 2019.

StepStone solely capitalized the transaction on the back of the single-asset continuation vehicle established for Essential Pharma, re-affirming Gyrus Capital’s commitment to support the long-term growth strategy of both dss+ and Essential Pharma.

"We are very proud to have partnered with StepStone in this transaction, having provided an attractive liquidity option to our existing LPs which allowed us to continue the next chapter of growth for both portfolio companies,” said Guy Semmens, Managing Partner at Gyrus Capital. “Working closely with the StepStone team, we were able to engineer a bespoke liquidity solution for our LP base in dss+, while also securing a meaningful investment in the single-asset continuation vehicle established for Essential Pharma.”
