Homnya announces acquisition of Editoriale Giornalidea

The goal is to create the largest community of pharmacists in Italy

Strategic acquisition of the Pharmacy channel in the world of information: synergy with Sics and Quotidiano Sanità to strengthen the digital, scientific and data analysis proposal

The strengthening of Homnya, Data-Marketing Media Company (Consulcesi Group) continues as "best in class" also in the world of Italian Pharmacy. In fact, the acquisition of Editoriale Giornalidea has been completed . An operation that marks another important step in the evolution of the Group led by Massimo Tortorella, who has already entered the investment plans of the Gyrus Capital fund .

Editorial Giornalidea has been a leader in information for pharmacists for over 40 years, with leading publications such as Farma 7 (official organ of Federfarma for 38 years) , Farma Mese and Panorama Cosmetico . It reaches all Italian pharmacies with over 75,000 copies in monthly circulation. Furthermore, the online presence with publications such as Pharmacy Scanner, Tuttodiabete.it, Farma Manager Academy and Farma Social Connect demonstrates a digital approach to communication in the sector.

Homnya CEO  Sergio Liberatore announced the conclusion of the operation  , also anticipating its implications:

By joining Giornalidea with the Sics group , publisher of ilFarmacista and FofiLive as well as Quotidiano Sanità and over 33 sector media, Homnya therefore presents itself as the main and most complete point of contact for vertical information also in the field of pharmacy and pharmacists. The acquisition of Giornalidea comes immediately after the launch of strategic partnerships with Pharma Data Factory and Jakala, confirming a highly structured process with ambitious objectives.

By combining the digital assets of Sics and Giornalidea we will also create, through the new technological platform of Consulcesi Club, the largest community of pharmacists in Italy".

The operation was conducted by the Consulcesi M&A team assisted by CBA Studio Legale, for the legal part, and by Studio Zannini e Associati for the financial part. Editoriale Giornalidea was assisted by the Tonucci & Partners firm for the legal part, by Winnerge as strategic and financial advisor and by the Camnasio firm for the tax part.

The beginning of the collaboration will be sealed at Cosmofarma, the main event in the pharmacy sector in Italy scheduled for April 19th in Bologna. Homnya will in fact be present with Editoriale Giornalidea and Sics who will have a common space within the event.
