Corcym acquires HAART aortic annuloplasty devices
April 28th, 2023 – Corcym, the medical device company dedicated to Cardiac Surgeons, announces today the acquisition of the BioStable Science & Engineering assets including the HAART Aortic Annuloplasty Devices, the world’s only aortic internal annuloplasty devices designed for use during valve repair for aortic insufficiency.
With this acquisition, Corcym reinforces its commitment to Cardiac Surgeons. From today, Corcym’s product portfolio will be enriched with two innovative products, HAART 300 and HAART 200. The devices are currently commercially available in the US and in Europe. Corcym will work on introducing them to the rest of the world.
The HAART 300 Aortic Annuloplasty Device replicates normal annular anatomy. The device is designed to reduce & prevent annular dilatation, restore three-dimensional annular geometry and serve as a framework to guide leaflet repair1. The HAART 200 Device was designed to support symmetric repair of bicuspid aortic valve by reducing and preventing annular dilatation, remodeling the valve into a circular, 180° configuration and establishing effective coaptation geometry and simplifying leaflet repair2.
“We are excited to add the HAART Aortic Annuloplasty Devices to our offering and provide our Cardiac Surgeons with multiple options in the treatment of aortic valve disease.” said Christian Mazzi, Corcym CEO. “This acquisition reinforces our mission to help cardiac surgeons treat patients better today and in the future.”
The HAART 300 and 200 Aortic Annuloplasty Device can rely on a robust series of peer-reviewed publications to support their effectiveness in the treatment of Aortic Insufficiency. To learn more, visit Corcym.com.
